Presetting your presses with InkScript

Presetting your presses is one of the most important aspects of the digital prepress workflow. To be able to accurately preset your press saves valuable setup time, and reduce wastage, resulting in cost- saving and increased productivity. InkScript reads directly from the 1-bit files generated from Harlequin RIP / Express RIP, analyzes the data, and generates CIP3 PPF file to your press computer directly. InkScript can also generates ink coverage data in a PDF file, or in a print-out, which press operators can use to preset their presses manually.

Moreover, presetting your presses usually mean adding a press computer which reads CIP3 PPF data. However, most printers with older presses which cannot be upgraded tend to be left in the dust and their only choice is to upgrade to a more recent press machine. With IS Connect option, InkScript communicates with most common presses to replace their memory card, chipcard, magnetic strip or tape interface and turns your presses connect to modern production workflow directly online.
