Dugopa Launch Parnership With Compose System At Graphintro 2005
---Dugopa, S.A. to bring best-of-breed dot-for-dot proofing to Spain's packaging industry with Compose Star Proof---
Barcelona, Spain, February 1st 2005 At Graphintro 2005 Dugopa, S.A. will unveil their partnership with leading pre-press developer Compose System. At their booth (Palacio P1, Calle C-359) Dugopa will show Compose Star Proof delivering contract quality screened proofs on Epson Stylus Pro 4000 and 7600. Of particular interest are the new features in Star Proof 4 for handling the special calibrations and media distortions of flexo printing. First released in 2001, Star Proof is now installed at thousands of companies in the print and publishing industry world-wide.
Developed by an experienced team of colour professionals, Star Proof is a Mac OS X application which uses unique techniques to recreate the actual dot patterns and rosettes of original separations at ink-jet printer resolutions. The hard dots of the proofs allow exceptionally faithful reproduction of the high resolution images including defects such as moire patterns and small text reproduction down to as little as 1pt. Tuned to take advantage of Epson VSDT capable printers such as the Stylus Pro 4000 and 7600, Star Proof produces remarkable results with contract quality proofs up to 200lpi being output on printers running at just 1440 lpi by 720 lpi.
"Our customers understand the importance of faithful image reproduction and this makes Star Proof the ideal solution for all their proofing requirements", said Antonio Fernandez, Graphic Arts Manager at Dugopa, SA.
"I am delighted that we're in partnership with a well respected company that has such long experience of the graphic arts market in Spain. I am confident Dugopa's customers will appreciate the value of Star Proof's unique capabilities, both in the packaging industry and in the more general print market", commented Steve Donegan, Compose System's Manager of
European Sales.
