Compose System and Highwater Designs Announce OEM Agreement For Express WorkFlow

HighWater Designs to launch Quickflow for small to medium printers at Drupa 2004

WALTON-ON-THAMES, UK -- 26th April 2004 -- Compose System, a leading developer of prepress workflow and proofing solutions, have today announced the signing of an OEM agreement for their workflow technology with HighWater Designs, manufacturer of the popular Platinum and Python platesetters. The agreement is followed by HighWater's immediate release of Quickflow, a prepress workflow solution designed for small to medium sized commercial printers. To date two pilot systems have been installed in the UK to manage prepress workflow for Python platesetters. Quickflow will be on show at Drupa 2004 on the HighWater stand (Hall 9-B34).

Quickflow is the result of a cooperative project between Compose and HighWater. Quickflow integrates with HighWater's Torrent RIP, by using the modular Express WorkFlow for its core workflow operations, with optional modules including HighWater's Pixel Proof "RIP Once" proofing and InkMonitor for managing ink coverage via PPF files. For imposition, Quickflow offers the Compose post-RIP applications PRI Station and Auto PRI which provide manual and automated tools for managing and editing imposed pages.

Graham Manders, Product Director at HighWater Design comments: "We are delighted that we can offer Quickflow to our customers. Being able to bring automation of a complete prepress workflow is a key element within our role as worldwide prepress suppliers. Quickflow has all the essential componenets, or modules required for today's busy printing business."
