Compose System partner with Apex Digital Graphics to show complete CTP workflow for new Dainippon Screen Micra thermal platesetter WALTON-ON-THAMES, UK -- 9th May 2003 -- Compose® System, a leading developer of prepress workflow and proofing solutions, has announced that the company will partner with Apex Digital Graphics (stand C344) at next week's Northprint to show a complete workflow system driving the recently announced Dainippon Screen B3 thermal platesetter, Micra. On the company's own booth (M460), Compose is partnering with Designed for small to medium-sized commercial printers, the system on the Apex Digital Graphics stand will demonstrate ApExpress WorkFlow managing output to two platesetters - Dainippon Screen's thermal platesetter, Micra, and Esko-Graphics DPX polyester platesetter system. Proofing will be handled by Compose Star Proof delivering high quality screened proofs on the Epson Stylus Pro 5000 and the Canon 8500. Workflow and ROOM proofing solutions will feature strongly on the Compose stand with Express WorkFlow managing high quality proofing to the Epson StylusPro 7600 and 10600 inkjet printers. Star Proof will be shown producing contract quality screened proofs up to 200lpi. About Star Proof Developed by an experienced team of colour professionals, Star Proof is a Mac OS X application for producing contract quality screened proofs on large format inkjets and colour proofers. Star Proof has its own Actual Dot technology for producing unusually hard dots on the proofer to recreate the original dot patterns and rosettes of the high resolution separations - even including defects such as moire patterns. The results on high-end ink-jet printers are remarkable and 200 lpi proofs of contract quality can be produced on Epson's VSDT-capable inkjets such as the Stylus Pro 7600, 9600 and 10600. Star Proof has a recommended price of £4250.
