Compose Release Low-Cost Film saving application
COMPOSE SYSTEMS RELEASES NEW LOW-COST FILM SAVING APPLICATION TO INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY AND PROFITABILITY OF COMPOSE WORKFLOWS
HONG KONG -- June 16th 2003 -- Compose System, a leading developer of prepress workflow and proofing solutions, today announced the release of Flatout Express, the company's new low-cost film saving application. Running on on Windows 2000, Flatout Express is immediately available for customer shipments
Flatout Express is a simple but efficient film saving solution for imagesetting and plotter systems. Enhancing productivity in Compose workflows, Flatout Express provides a simple job packing method based on rows or columns making it particularly suited to production runs where jobs are of similar size, including color separations. The regularity of job layout on the final media also simplifies the cutting of film into individual pieces.
Designed for use with the Compose Express RIP, Flatout Express collects and packs PGB files onto a user-defined sheet. When a sheet is full, a layout file is created and passed back to the RIP for merging high resolution PGB files into single files suitable for output. For maximum productivity the whole process can be run with no user intervention but, if required, the process can be interrupted for manual approval of individual jobs.
